Abstract

Consumer trust in the halal product industry is very important because it helps business actors understand consumer feelings towards the economy and measure the ability of shopping behavior or the existence of a Consumer Trust Index measure towards. Sharia principles are needed to ensure that the products produced are halal, thayyib (good), and beneficial to society.

The purpose of the study is to determine the Application of Sharia Principles in the Halal Product Industry through an empirical qualitative approach, namely a research method that uses data to collect and analyze the meaning, opinions, or reasons underlying its subjects. Empirical is interpreted to explain the epistemological theory that considers experience as a source of knowledge.

The results of the study obtained an increase in public trust and the application of sharia values ​​to the halal product industry such as the production process, distribution, distribution, storage, marketing and business management.

The conclusion is that consumer trust in the halal industry tends to increase but supervision must still be carried out and efforts must continue to apply Sharia Principles in the Halal Product Industry based on Law Number 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Assurance.
