Abstract

Good association between wife and husband is love and mutual help. Thus, the good will be transferred to all families from both sides, so that they become one in all matters of helping each other in carrying out good and preventing all evil. In addition, with marriage a person will be protected from the destruction of his lust. The above problems make us forget to pay attention to the meaning and purpose of a marriage as stated in Q.S Ar-Rûm verse; 21. Some of us still don't really understand how to achieve the goals of marriage, especially forming a sakinah, mawadah, warahmah family so that what happens then marriage does not have the essence as meant by the Qur'an itself. Departing from this, the author is interested in presenting one of the ustadz thinkers/religious leaders who formulates the concept of Sakînah, mawaddah, warahmah family. This interest is due to what we know that the purpose of marriage is to expect sakinah, mawaddah warahmah.
