Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Kadar Pembayaran Zakat Fitrah Perspektif Hukum Islam (Studi Kasus Di Desa Sungai Batang)

Abstract

This study aims to describe the perception of the people of Sungai Batang Village towards the level of zakat fitrah payment from the perspective of Islamic law. This research uses a type of field research, which is research that is carried out by going directly to the location to obtain real data from the community and the approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The results of the study show that public perception of zakat fitrah levels is influenced by religious understanding, economic conditions, local traditions, and directions from religious leaders. Some people still experience confusion about the correct amount of zakat fitrah, the form of payment (rice or money). Religious education is still widely conveyed verbally through lectures and counseling, while economic conditions determine the form of zakat paid. Religious leaders play an important role in directing the implementation of zakat in accordance with sharia. Local traditions also strengthen the habit of paying zakat collectively. Thus, zakat fitrah is not only understood as an obligation of worship, but also as part of the social and cultural system of society. This research emphasizes the importance of proper socialization so that the implementation of zakat fitrah runs in accordance with the provisions of Islamic law.
