Dampak Poligami Terhadap Keharmonisan Rumah Tangga

Abstract

Polygamy is a marriage bond carried out by a husband with more than one woman. Islamic law allows a man to marry up to four women. This ability is as stated in the Word of Allah in Surah An-Nisa verse 3. However, this ability is not absolute. A husband who wants to practice polygamy should be able to act fairly among his wives, both materially and biologically. But behind this ability, it is undeniable that polygamy will have an impact on household harmony. In this journal, the author will summarize several written sources regarding polygamy and what impacts will arise from this polygamy.
