Abstract

This research is based on the low learning outcomes of students in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) due to the dominance of the lecture method that makes students passive. The purpose of this study is to find out the application of the poster comment method and its effect on the learning outcomes of grade VII students of Merah Putih Private Junior High School, Pasir Palembang Village, Mempawah Regency. The research method used is the Kemmis & McTaggart model Class Action Research (PTK), with two cycles that include planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject of the study is grade VII students for the 2024/2025 school year. The data collection instrument uses observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The results of the study showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle, most students have not achieved KKM, increased in cycle I, and achieved classical completeness in cycle II. The poster comment method has been proven to increase students' motivation, participation, and understanding of PAI material. Thus, the application of this method is effective in creating active, enjoyable learning and improving learning outcomes.
