Abstract

This study aims to: (1) find out the views of Islamic law on leadership by women (2). Analyzing the perspective of Islamic law on leadership by women. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of library research. Then the analysis uses descriptive analysis and content analysis. With this study, it was found that there were many differences of opinion between the ulama and the thoughts of leadership figures by women.Based on the discussion, it was found that: 1. The most essential point in leadership is intellectual ability. There is no prohibition on the involvement of women in parliament as long as social interests and benefits are created with the right rules. 2. The concept of gender (differences in behavior and roles of men versus women) is more influenced by socio-cultural processes, and inclusive of interpretations of Shari'a texts. The work and leadership of women in history illustrates that women have the potential to become leaders.
