Abstract

Prayer is an obligation for every Muslim, prayer has several components to support the authenticity or validity of the prayer. Among these components are the pillars of prayer, the pillars of prayer are qauliyah, namely the pillars which are in the form of speech and must be pronounced by the person praying and the pillars of filiyyah, the pillars which are in the form of movements in prayer which in fact must be carried out perfectly according to the guidance of the sharia. As for the research approach, researchers used a descriptive approach. Descriptive research carries out analysis only to the level of description, namely analyzing and presenting facts systematically so that they are easier to understand and conclude. The conclusions given are always clear and factual so that everything can always be returned directly to the data obtained. From the research results, it can be concluded that teachers' efforts to improve students' ability to apply tajwid knowledge in the reading of the rukun qauli prayer include applying the ummi method in learning tajwid, making teacher picket schedules to control congregational prayer practice activities, holding congregational prayer practices at school, and hold a tahfidz exam.
