Abstract

Character education is lifelong education, as a process of development towards a human being. Therefore, character education requires exemplary and touch from an early age to adulthood. Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ) is an education for reading and writing the Qur'an among children. TPQ has additional content that is oriented to the formation of Islamic character (morals) and personality. The implementation of the TPQ Hikmatun Balighoh program greatly influences the moral values ​​and character of students. The planting of the character of the santri is contained in the selection of the Qur'anic learning method, the materials presented and through the supervision of the ustadz and ustadzah. The supporting factors are competent human resources in learning the Qur'an and support from the village government. The inhibiting factors are the lack of parental encouragement, the lack of needed human resources and the implementation of full day school.
