Abstract

Education is a process of helping children to develop their full potential. The family is a means to enforce education and Islamic law in which love and love are grown in order to obtain tranquility and peace as a form of devotion to Allah SWT. Education in the family is an important aspect in shaping one's behavior. The purpose of family education is to build a child's character and intellectual foundation. In this article the author takes several verses of the Qur'an and takes some of the materials studied, including: (1) Family and Education, (2) The Nature of Family Education, (3) The Purpose of Family Education, (4) Methods of Family Education, ( 5) Aspects in Family Education, (6) The Importance of Religion in Family Education. The purpose of this study is to find out about the philosophy of education in the family.

The method used in this research is library research. The results of this study indicate that ontological education is a process of helping children to develop all their potential. The family is the first and foremost educational center that has a fundamental task in preparing children for their future lives. The basics of behavior, attitudes to life, and various habits are instilled in children from the family environment. According to epistemology, how do families provide a good education for their children. In teaching education can not be separated from a method, the methods of family education such as, 1) prayer method, 2) exemplary method, 3) discipline method, 4) punishment method, 5) reward method. According to the axiology of family education in Islamic education, it is undeniable that the important role of the family in helping children become fully human. Family is the foundation of character and intellectual development. In essence, education is the responsibility of parents, namely fathers and mothers who are central figures in education. Fathers and mothers are responsible for helping humanize, civilize, and instill values ​​in their children.
