Humans are social beings who always need other people through social interaction, both fellow Muslims and non-Muslims, sometimes colored with negative issues. Views on one aspect postulates the Qur'an that Muslims may not associate with non-Muslims, even though for various reasons.Whereas in Islamic history, this social interaction has been described regarding the relationship between the Prophet Muhammad and Muslims with Christians and Jews. Allamah Sayid Muhammad Husain Thabathaba’i (Thabathaba’i), as is well known, is a leading figure of the 'Shia' clergy, who is no stranger to both Shi'a and Sunni scientists. Even with his scientific thoughts, Tabathabai has written a very famous book of interpretation, namely the book of al-Mizan which contains interpretations of verses of the Koran with various methodologies and characteristics.The aim of the study was to find out social interactions regarding the relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims according to Thabatbai's interpretation in the book of Al Mizan's commentary through a qualitative empirical approach, namely a scientific grouping that focuses on research on human behavior and the environment. The results of the research show that in social interaction, the relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims, according to Thabathaba’i, is a social interaction that is permissible in everyday life, both individually, in groups and in the general public, as long as it does not involve worship and beliefs held by Muslims and is in accordance with the legal basis. religious harmony in Indonesia.
