Abstract

This research aims to find out how effective the group discussion learning method is at the MA Al-Qomar Kuala Secapah school. It is hoped that the results of this research will improve student learning outcomes and increase their repertoire and knowledge about learning fiqh. This research is a qualitative research with the background of the effectiveness of the Group Discussion Learning Method in Improving Student Learning Outcomes in the Fiqh Subject Class X IPS at Ma Al-Qomar Kuala Secapah for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. Data collection was carried out by conducting interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis is carried out by proving the meaning of the data that has been collected and from that data conclusions are drawn, checking the validity of the data is carried out by conducting data triangulation, namely comparing data from direct observations with data from interviews, and the contents of related documentation. The results of the qualitative descriptive analysis show that the learning implementation process has gone well, the teacher has maximized its use. This means that in the learning activity the objectives used have been achieved and according to expectations. Thus, the effectiveness of the group discussion learning method has been effective in improving learning outcomes in the Fiqh subject class X IPS MA Al-Qomar Kuala Secapah.
